Profile

With a career that spans more than two decades, Christos Chronis’ experience in nonprofit fundraising includes the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee,  the Milwaukee School of Engineering University, and Carroll University in Wisconsin. His leadership and deep expertise in the nonprofit sector has focused on helping organizations secure a sustainable future – whether by leading and operationalizing resource development strategies, managing groups of key internal and external stakeholders, or growing relationships with donors to stoke their charitable passions.

He began at Mesa Community College as Director of Major and Principal Giving in 2014, becoming the Interim Director of Development in 2018 and the Chief Philanthropy Officer in 2019. In 2022, Alumni Relations was added to his responsibilities, creating the Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement to expand involvement and communications with donors, industry partners, and the giving community. He collaborates and co-creates with the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation team to propel a thriving culture of philanthropy across the community college district.

His volunteerism includes Chair Elect of the Resource Development Council of the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation; President of The Board Of Directors of the Holy Trinity Academy; and an MCC Student Mentor.

Christos earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Liberal Studies with an emphasis in leadership and philanthropy from Arizona State University.
