BHS235 Emergency Mental Health Crisis Response and Recovery 3 Credits
Comprehensive study of natural and human-caused disasters and their effects on the trauma survivor. Introduction to basic emergency mental health interventions to help stabilize those experiencing crisis following critical incident disasters. Prerequisites: None.
Students who pass the exam with 80% or more will be eligible for a Certificate of Completion in Psychological First Aid.

Class 34260 This class meets for an14-week period during the full length semester. Students should expect an increased amount of work each week during the 14 weeks as compared to the same class offered in the full semester. Students are encouraged to work with an academic advisor to be sure their course load is balanced over the course of a given semester. Students are required to submit an initial assignment due within the first few days of class.
