HCR240 Human Pathophysiology 4 Credits
Chemical, biological, biochemical, and psychological processes as a foundation for the understanding of alterations in health. The structural and functional pathophysiology of alterations in health; selected therapeutics considered.
Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in BIO202 or BIO205, or permission of Instructor.

NUR187 Pharmacology and Medication Administration 1.5 Credits
Overview of selected drug classifications and categories. Emphasis on principles of drug metabolism and effects, interactions and adverse reactions, medication administration, and nursing implications for safe practice with a focus on adult and older adult patients. Requires application of previous knowledge of physical, biological, and social sciences.
Prerequisites: Permission of Nursing Department/Division Chair.
