BIO205 Microbiology 4 Credits
Study of microorganisms and their relationship to health, ecology, and related fields.
Prerequisites: C or better in (BIO156, or BIO156XT, or BIO181, or BIO181XT, or 1 yr of high school biology) and (RDG100, or RDG100LL, or higher, or eligibility for CRE101). CHM130 or higher or one year of high school chemistry suggested but not required.

Class 22581 This class will be taught in an asynchronous online format, which does not require regular attendance on specific days/times. Students will be allowed to work through weekly course material on their own time. Course material is available through Canvas and includes learning tools such as PowerPoints, video lectures, worksheets, study tools etc. Your instructor will be available through weekly virtual office hours/discussion hours. Students must have access to a computer (PC, Mac, laptop, or iPad) with a working webcam, microphone, as well as internet access. Chromebooks will not meet course technology requirements as they do not support the use of lockdown browser. A free online textbook and lab manual will be used in the course. The purchase of a lab kit from the Mesa Community College bookstore will be required.
