MAT231 Calculus with Analytic Geometry II 4 Credits

Techniques of integration for both proper and improper integrals with applications to the physical and social sciences, elements of analytic geometry, and the analysis of sequences and series.

Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in MAT220, or MAT221, or equivalent.

Course Notes: This class may require a graphing calculator and/or online software package, such as MyMathLab, that may result in an additional cost to the student. Some instructors allow the use of the online textbook that accompanies the online software package in lieu of a physical textbook. Contact your instructor for details. All students must meet the MCC Mathematics Department prerequisite requirements for each class within two years of first day of class. Limits, continuity, differential and integral calculus of functions of one variable.

Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in MAT187, or an appropriate District placement.

Multivariate calculus including vectors, vector- valued functions, partial differentiation, multiple integration and an introduction to vector fields.
