Hydraulic fundamentals, including functions of valves used in Caterpillar hydraulic systems, functions of vane pumps, gear pumps, and piston pumps, and assembly and disassembly of hydraulic components. Includes ISO hydraulic symbols.

CTT205 Caterpillar Dealer Internship III 3 Credits

Application of skills and knowledge gained in CTT coursework in an internship in a dealership environment. Develops professional skills required of Caterpillar service technician. Provides experience in air conditioning systems, power trains, couplings, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. Requires intern to complete a list of learning objectives, keep a logbook, and be evaluated by dealership supervisor and internship coordinator.
