BIO205 Microbiology 4 Credits
Study of microorganisms and their relationship to health, ecology, and related fields.
Prerequisites: C or better in (BIO156, or BIO156XT, or BIO181, or BIO181XT, or 1 yr of high school biology) and (RDG100, or RDG100LL, or higher, or eligibility for CRE101). CHM130 or higher or one year of high school chemistry suggested but not required.

Course material will be available through Canvas and includes learning tools such as PowerPoints, audio lectures, short video presentations, study guides, etc. Instructor will be available for additional help and guidance through virtual office hours. Students will need access to a computer (laptop, PC, Mac or iPad) with a webcam, and internet access. Chromebooks will not meet course technology requirements. This course will use a free online textbook and lab manual. The additional purchase of a lab kit from the Mesa Community College bookstore will be required.
