Profile

Michael Voss, M.A.Ed., is a Dean of Instruction providing stewardship for Applied Sciences & Technology, Business, CIS, and Justice Studies programs at Mesa Community College (MCC). Michael is an experienced and innovative leader who is a systems thinker and an active doer. The MCC Career and Technical Programs were recognized for excellence by the League for Innovation in the Community College in 2017 for a “data-informed approach to do the greatest good for the greatest number of students using five scalable strategies.” Prior to serving as a Dean at MCC, Michael served as an Associate Dean over Health, Wellness, and Public Safety programs at Central New Mexico Community College (CNMCC) in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Michael has in-depth experience accelerating pathways to completion using high-impact practices in the areas of prior learning assessment (PLA) credit, proactive graduation, and technology-supported strategic scheduling and student retention.

Outside of regular working hours, Michael enjoys family time with his wife, Jennifer, and two children, Alison and Adam.
