Basic grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary of Japanese. Study of Japanese culture. Development of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Prerequisites: None.

Expansion of sentence structures through oral/aural practice. Increased emphasis on reading and writing in Japanese and study of Japanese culture.

Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in JPN102 or permission of Department or Division.
