BPC170 A+ Exam Prep: Computer Hardware Configuration and Support 3 Credits
Explore technical aspects of personal computers, including system components, installation, system configuration, peripheral devices, and notebooks. Emphasis placed on hardware installation, maintenance, mobile devices, and hardware troubleshooting. Helps prepare students for the CompTIA A+ examinations. Prerequisites: None.

Prepares students for the AppleCare iPhone Technician Certification and to perform warranty level hardware repairs and troubleshooting Apple iOS devices. Prerequisites: None.

Class 24647 As of 7/6/2020 the prerequisite course BPC160 is no longer required. Principles from the BPC160 course have been incorporated into the BPC260 and BPC262 classes. Certifies students to perform troubleshooting and repair of all iPhone models currently supported by Apple. Students who complete the course are certified Apprentice in the Global Service Exchange (GSX) using the Apple learning management system (ATLAS). COMM_ED500-10035 Google IT Support Professional 0 Credits
Google and CompTIA, the non-profit trade association, have teamed up to help learners gain the skills and credentials needed to launch an IT career. With this comprehensive program, students that successfully complete Google IT Support Professional will gain the knowledge needed to sit for the CompTIA A+ Certification Exam and learn skills required for entry-level IT support positions! No prior IT experience is necessary.

Class 37214 Certifies students to perform troubleshooting and repair of all MacBook laptops and Mac computers currently supported by Apple. BPC270 A+ Exam Prep: Operating System Configuration and Support 3 Credits
Explore advanced technical aspects of maintaining and servicing computers. Emphasis placed on OS installation, maintenance, mobile devices, security, software troubleshooting, and on proper usage of tools, safety procedures, and professionalism. Helps prepare students for the CompTIA A+ examinations.
Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in CIS105 or permission of Instructor.
