MESA, Arizona – Oct. 7, 2022 – Mesa Community College invites the community to the grand opening of its East Valley Community Entrepreneur Center and a Maricopa Entrepreneur Days event on Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Mesa Community College Southern and Dobson Campus (BP Building), 1833 W. Southern Ave., Mesa.
Maricopa Entrepreneur Days, offered by the Maricopa County Community College District and the Arizona Small Business Development Center (AZBDC), will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, providing participants with information about Advancing Entrepreneurship grant opportunities and scholarships available in Entrepreneurial Studies and Small Business Management at any of the 10 Maricopa Community Colleges.
The remainder of the event, from noon to 2 p.m., will celebrate the MCC East Valley Community Entrepreneur Center, a new resource available to small businesses.
“The center provides our students and community easy access to the entrepreneurial resources available in our community,” says Dan Piercy, director of the MCC Community Entrepreneur Center and Green Flag Mesa Business Center. “When students and members of the local community visit the center, they will have the opportunity to ask questions about launching, owning and operating a small business. Also, if they need advice, education, research assistance, mentoring or capital acquisition assistance, we will match them with the correct resource and assist with scheduling an appointment.”
The MCC East Valley Community Entrepreneur Center is a collaboration among MCC, the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, AZBDC Network, Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) and the AZ Procurement Technical Assistance Center (AZPTAC).
