An introduction to the process and practice of dance performance.

Prerequisites: None.

Corequisites: Any level of any of the following dance technique courses with a DAN prefix: ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, tap, social, or world dance.

Notes: Class 17609: Perform with the Mesa Contemporary Dance Ensemble and in the Fall Dance Concert! Enrollment in this course requires an audition. Auditions will be held on August 11 at 4pm at the Dance Studio on the Southern & Dobson campus, and are open to all MCC Students. No prior dance experience is required. Students in DAN150/DAN155 will engage in a rigorous rehearsal process for multiple dances. This course requires extra rehearsal and performance time outside of scheduled class meetings. In addition to weekly class meetings/rehearsals, all students in this course must attend all costume fittings, and technical and dress rehearsals. Students will also participate in at least one full-concert run-through prior to tech week. A production schedule will be provided to students during the first week of classes.
