EXS270AA Exercise Science Internship 1 Credits

A capstone experience in a fitness or health related facility. Eighty (80) hours of designated work per credit.

Prerequisites: Completion of nine (9) credits of EXS courses with a grade of C or better, current CPR and AED card, and permission of Department/Division Chair and/or the Program Director.

WED106 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) 0.5 Credits

Basic overview of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Covers choking procedures and the importance, guidelines, and techniques for performing CPR and utilizing an AED. Prerequisites: None.

HES100 Healthful Living 3 Credits

Examines health-related behaviors and issues associated with a modern lifestyle. Explores current topics of interest related to mental, physical, social and environmental health such as stress management, nutrition, and fitness. Identifies and evaluates personal and community strategies to promote an optimal lifestyle.

Prerequisites: None.

Course Notes: HES100 is required for the Personal Training Certificate.
