Profile

Steve has been blacksmithing since 2008 and an instructor at MCC for 2 yrs. He was first introduced to Blacksmithing through the Arizona Artist Blacksmith Association, AABA, and a student in this class in 2012. Steve was accepted into to Foging Focus Program at Center for Metal Arts Johnstown, PA in 2023 and has completed trainings in all levels of the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America, ABANA, National Circullum and numerous other workshops and conferences.

Steve is currently the AABA president in his 4th year.

WLD103 Basic Blacksmithing and Metal Shaping 3 Credits

Selection and safe use of blacksmithing and metal shaping tools and equipment. Material selection and conditioning, practical forging techniques, metal shaping experience, and finishing processes. Prerequisites: None.
