Profile
I have been working in higher education and adult learning since 2004. I knew I had a passion for helping students achieve success as soon as I got out of college. That passion was my reason to pursue a Master's degree in Adult Education with an emphasis in adult basic education and TESL.
My first job was teaching GED and ESL classes to adult students. Then I focused on teaching English and ESL courses and providing student services across 3 colleges at Maricopa Community Colleges. I was also a program manager for adult education and workforce development programs, however, my true passion remained with working with students and helping them in their pursuit of a college education, and therefore, a career.
I spent almost 2 years working as a Career Services Specialist at GateWay Community College to then transition to Academic Advising at Mesa Community College. I am truly blessed to be part of the MCC family and look forward to coming to work every day!
